WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE

The Collwanted posterin County 4-H is starting a county insect collection.  However, we are needing help of all of the 4-H members.  We will be placing a bounty on insects.  You can collect your reward as you catch insects and turn them in to our office.  We need a variety of insects, so  different bounties will be placed on different insects.  Once the collection is built, all Collin County 4-H members will be able to use the collection with their 4-H Clubs.  For more information, please see attached insect bounty guide.

EVENTS
There are 10 events for this year’s Outdoor Challenge.  Those are listed below.  Rules and resources pertaining to each of those events and how they will be scored can be found on our website at:  http://texas4-h.tamu.edu/outdoor

  • Fishing (most likely dry-land version)
  • Rifle
  • Shotgun
  • Archery
  • Kayaking (2-person)
  • Climbing
  • Knot Tying
  • Outdoor ID
  • Camping Skills
  • Orienteering

As a reminder, this is a contest, so all participants need to come prepared to compete in each of these 10 events.  There is no time in the schedule for training.  For the safety of everyone, it is critical that all contests have experience with safely handling, loading and shooting firearms prior to competing.

Thank you and we look forward to another great Outdoor Challenge this summer!!  If you have any questions, please let me or Larry Hysmith know.  Please feel free to utilize the attachments in promoting this event.
